Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Rawalpindi
BISE Rawalpindi: Board of intermediate and Secondary Education, DG.KHAN has constituted under West Pakistan. So Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education). So it is now governing by the Punjab Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Act, 1976.
There are 15 members on the Board of Governors including the Chairman. In addition to that few members are ex-officio and others are as per provisions of the Act.
The Board is an autonomous institution with the power to make rules. So It does not receive any grant-in-aid or any donation from the Govt. As well as from other semi-Govt agencies. So It has to generate its own funds through the levy of examinations and other fees.
The Board is an autonomous body and Govt. Thus making Punjab its controlling authority. The controlling Authority/Govt appoints the Chairman. And also Secretary Controller of Examinations. As well as Audit Officer, and DPE. Such as on deputation normally for a period of 3 years. In addition to that, the Governor appoints other officers and staff in BS-16 and above. Similarly in BS-5 to BS-15 by the Chairman. And in BS-1 to BS-4 by the Secretary.
