Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Sahiwal
The BISE Sahiwal was established on June 15, 2012. By the Higher Education Department (HED) of Punjab. Before its establishment, Sahiwal and Pakpattan were serving by the BISE Multan. Okara District was serving by the BISE Lahore.
The Board is an autonomous institution with the power to make rules. However, It does not receive any grant-in-aid or any donation from the Govt. As well as other semi Govt or agencies. So It has to generate its own funds through the levy of examinations and other fees.
The Board is an autonomous body and Govt. Thus making Punjab its controlling authority. The controlling Authority/Govt appoints the Chairman. And also Secretary Controller of Examinations. As well as Audit Officer, and DPE. Such as on deputation normally for a period of 3 years. In addition to that, the Governor appoints other officers and staff in BS-16 and above. Similarly in BS-5 to BS-15 by the Chairman. And in BS-1 to BS-4 by the Secretary.
To begin with, I am thankful for the opportunity to serve as Chairman of your Board of Education. Prior to this, I have been a member of the Governing Body of Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education, Multan for two terms. In addition to that, From the very beginning of my first term. My goal has been to foster and support strong relationships between our teachers. Also our staff, administrators, and the Board of Education. The commitment of the Board of Education is to ensure the conduct of smooth and transparent examinations.
In the wake of Covid-19, the academic sessions 2019-20 and 2020-21 have been a worldwide challenge. Of course, this year is quite special and most remarkable in that we still have to deal with a pandemic that remains a threat to all of us but allow me to inform you of our Board’s motto is “Learning for all”. These three words have been and will continue to be the motivation behind all of our decisions. Also please let me assure you that we are well preparing to welcome your children in a safe environment in and around the examination centers.
Like many other Boards, BISE Sahiwal had to follow the SOPs set by the Govt. of Punjab and adhered to the student’s promotion policy. Our students are the future, and it is imperative that we take the necessary steps to close the academic gap that our students have experienced. The Board of Education will continue to do whatever is possibly necessary to give our students. Each and every decision comes before us, we discuss it from every angle. And we will carefully consider the consequences of those decisions.
